CMMS Data Quality is the Key to Success

I just read an interesting article on ReliabilityWeb.com's newsletter on steps to getting quality data in a CMMS or EAM. There are some great suggestions that I completely agree with:

1.) You need a plan for how to manage your data, including codes for failures, asset types, etc...

2.) Develop a accurate list of Assets that staff can easily find from multiple search strategies. Make sure the spellings are correct etc...

3.) Develop a data Q/A plan and reports to track and trend on cleanup processes as needed.

Thanks for the comments on the article.

This is a really cool blog and I plan to subscribe.

You should nominate it for one of the Reliabilityweb.com Top 100 web sites. I think it would stand a very good chance of being listed.
Look for the Top 100 logo on the Reliabilityweb.com homepage.

Please keep building and sharing what you know!
